Through physical touch, visual engagement, daily use, and the meanings we attach to it over time, a connection is formed. Furniture carries the marks of its making. Edges are softened, joints are tuned, and surfaces are refined. Making by hand allows subtle characteristics to become legible to the maker: internal tensions, irregularities, and grain shaped by natural forces over time. When these qualities inform each decision, the result is an object that endures, shaped in response to the material rather than imposed upon it.
